Description
RARE thrash / hair metal lp: The New Heavy Metal Revue presents METAL MASSACRE - original first pressing (of only 2500 copies) with misspelled METTALLICA on back cover (corrected on later pressing). This killer comp was issued by Metal Blade Records in 1982, and the last track is early Metallica- Hit the Lights, with Hetfield, Dave Mustaine, Ron McGouney, Lloyd Grant, and Lars; also features the earlier heavier incarnation of RATT, plus Cirith Ungol, Avatar, Malice (2 tracks), Steeler, Bitch, Demon Flight, and Pandemonium.
Condition: strong VG/VG (very slight storage warp and moderate scuffing, but nothing I can feel, and it plays EX overall; jacket has moderate ringwear/rubbing and a half-inch scrape/scar near right edge, stress-wrinkles along spine and seams and to top-right corner, rubbing to extremities but no splits).
