Description

I have up for auction a record (One Sided 7" 78) on the black embossed Berliner GRAMOPHONE label; very rare, probably late 1800s, last patent date of 1895. It is #3420 by Miss Alice Raymond, Cornet Solo with piano accompaniment; selection entitled "The Swiss Polka". The record is in good condition, no chips or cracks and scuffs or scratches are light and surface varriety. Some surface imperfections (small bumps-will cause ticks). But surprisingly, the record plays through with no other major problems; no skips and the cornet is quite clear; piano less so as it is more in the background. Beginning has quite a bit of surface noise but much less as recording progresses.
