Description
I have collected records since I was very young, however Iincreasingly I have realised that I have far too many, and soI have been slowly trying to rationalise my extensive collection over the years, I have sold many major rarities over the years, from major BEATLES and 60s rarities, through PUNK and PROG ROCK, CLASSICAL and BLUES. Basically I've had alot of very rare records and in dribs and drabs have sold them off. I've never had negative feedback, and had many repeat customers.
I will only post completely insured and tracked. (My computer keyboard is currently faulty, so I'm writing this on my phone, hence descriptions will be shorter than usual!)
Here we have the rarest (discounting demos!) UK 60s pressing of The Beatles' From Me To You b/w Thank You Girl. These were the final 60s pressings, and released when many Beatles fans already had this title, or else were after the newer singles, but what sets this apart is that it has the Northern Songs Ltd. credits spaced over three lines rather than the two lines that all the other copies had them over. It is not to be underestimated quite how scarce this variation is, most collections not ever coming across this one! Also, this record is housed in a rare mispressed sleeve. For a very short run, someone at EMI got the text on the rear of their sleeves wrong, and instead of "Controlled by Electric & Musical Industries Ltd" someone substituted "Industries" for "Instruments". There are usually two states to this, though this copy adds a third that I haven't ever seen before! The first, is just printed wrong with "Instruments", and the second is printed over the top with green blocking, to obscure the mispressed text, and replaced above with the correct text, HOWEVER... This is the first copy I've ever seen with both texts present, and the blocking out instead covering the "HAYES-MIDDLESEX-ENGLAND" text! So there you go, another interesting oddity!
Record Condition: VG a general dusting of surface marks/hairlines, a couple of slightly more visible ones, plays through fine and strong, with just the occasional static and tick. Label Conditions: VG+ the all important labels are lovely and clean, and completely free from graffiti, stains, tears, abrasions, stickers etc, just some very light spindle trails around the central spindle hole, only really visible when angled across strong direct light.
