Description
RCA LSC 2487, GIULIANI/ARNOLD – Guitar Concertos, Julian Bream (Guitar), Melos Ensemble, (1961) 1s/1s, A1/A1 (I) Indianapolis pressing (Recorded in England). This is NOT a reissue – it is the original 50+ year old shaded dog 1s/1s pressing. The Arnold has spent many years HP's TAS Super Disk List and deservedly so - the sound is VERY realistic with some very deep bass. This is my own personal copy, and the vinyl surfaces are clean, glossy, and exceptionally quiet with NO pops, clicks or skips. There is a single VERY soft tic on side 1 and a very light scuff that makes no sound. The vinyl looks and plays near mint (NM). The labels are clean with no spindle marks (see photos), and the inner sleeve is EX. The front and back of the jacket are clean with no marks. However, there are a couple of corner dings and some slight wear on the spine (see photos). I would therefore grade the jacket as VG+. In summary, this is a beautiful copy of this golden age recording that looks and plays virtually perfectly, but the jacket shows some light wear.
