RCA Collectors Issue LPM-1112
1955 release. Deep-groove mono pressing.
Great cover-art sketch of Basie by a then-unknown Andy Warhol prior to his rise to worldwide fame within the decade.
This early Warhol work is directly referenced in Paul Marechal's definitive book on Andy Warhol LP covers.
Increasingly rare collector's item.
Vinyl is in VG+ condition - some light surface marks, no deep scratches, plays well with some light surface noise.
Jacket is in VG+/VG condition - top seam is split and has been taped, spine is split along 75% of its length and is also taped. Bottom seam is still solid but has been taped. Some writing in ballpoint on back cover.
We grade all our records visually under a 100-watt light.
If visual inspection of the vinyl gives us reason to suspect there may be problems with sound quality, the recording is play-tested and any play-back flaws are included in the item description.
