Description
Rare original 1964 first pressing copy of Red Garland's Halleloo-Y'-All LP on Prestige PR-7288. Original Fireworks Bergenfield labels with Rudy Van Gelder's stamp in the runoffs. This was a demo copy at LA's legendary record store, Music City, and has a demo sticker on the front and a stamp on the back. The disc has some marks and scuffs, but it plays really nicely. There is very light background crackle mostly only noticeable between tracks, though the second tune on side one, the quieter I'll Never Be Free, has some pops and louder crackles, though not all the way through. The other tracks play just beautifully. The cover has very minor water staining at the bottom edge, and a bit of corner rubbing, as well as a bit of fraying at the top of the spine, but there are no seam splits or even much ring wear. Still shiny and strikingly beautiful. This is a very nice original copy despite the slight wear.
