RIC CARTEY - SCRATCHING ON MY SCREEN b/w MY HEART BELONGS TO YOU - NRC 45  - ORIGINAL PRESSING - ROCKABILLY - VG- CONDITION...

The record has been played and it does have some scuffs (but nothing deep)... Both sides play thru with some mild surface noise but no skips... We'd grade the overall condition of the record as VG- with mild ring wear on "Scratching on my screen"...

Original pressing. Matrix numbers (stamped): J80W 7225 - I / J80W 7226 - I

By the end of 1957, Cartey was in Atlanta, recording for a new Lowery label, NRC.  In mid-1958 "Scratchin' On My Screen" was perhaps his finest record, with great guitar work by Jerry Reed and Joe South. The song, written by Cartey, was loosely based on the old country blues "Diggin' My Potatoes"..
