Description
Somewhat worn but surprisingly good sounding copy of the original 1959 pressing of the self-titled debut LP by Richie Valens, on Del-Fi DFLP-1201. Features his all time classic, La Bamba. The disc has lots of marks and scuffs but none of it is deep. It looks worn but actually it plays just beautifully, almost without a single issue. I had it ultrasonically cleaned and it really made a big difference. I can’t believe how good it sounds. Not a single pop or tick anywhere, and just the tiniest faint crackle between songs. Really great player despite the wear. The cover has a seam split across the whole top edge, and a short 1.5” one at the bottom. There is red marker on the back, underlining songs and highlighting the blurb at the left side. Some general shelfwear aside from that but actually still quite striking and presentable, as you can see. So it isn’t a top copy but it plays beautifully. Hard to find an original copy at all.
