Music by ROBBY POITEVIN e la sua ORCHESTRA vocals by I CANTORI MODERNI di ALESSANDRONI music assitance FRANCO MICALIZZI. Original Italian promo pressing on RCA ORIGINAL CAST label (OC1) from 1967. Superb, Italian soundtrack double-sider. Mood music gleamed from the score of Quella Carogna Dell'ispettore Sterling aka Frame Up aka The Falling Man, a stylish crime thriller shot at Cinecitta and on location in San Francisco. A cult film directed by Emilio Miraglia under his Hal Brady alias, starring Henry Silva as the vigilante police inspector. Similar look and feel to Steve McQueen's Bullitt but possibly pre-dating by a year or so. Killer lounge jazz on TEMA DELL'ISPETTORE STERLING with that classic Robby Poitevin sound of the period (deep double-bass / gothic mod organ / groovy electric harpsichord / trumpet motifs and hip hop tempo drum skills ;) ADESSO CHE HAI VENT'ANNI is a jangly psychedelic beat cum sunshine pop theme featuring the counterpoint male and female harmony of the Alessandroni singers. Actually an alternative version of the opening theme heard at the start of the film. Shades of the Trio Junior - Ennio Morricone theme from Teorema (we sold the Ariete label 7inch a few months ago) with harmonizing and scat over flashes of electric keyboards / hypnotic guitars and crashing drum breakdowns linking each verse. Cinematic "now sound" arrangements that also remind us of  '60s pop art / euro spy caper / spoof James Bond type Italian film scores too :) Great for DJs with booming production sound. Striking picture sleeve with dramatic film still mise-en-scène and that label design is also obscure. Our copy is the desirable promo issue too. Rare OST 45!!!  

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG francisco SF psych psychedelia hippie

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition with a few hairlines / a couple of mini scuffs and a touch of old pressing residue. Booming production sound. Some light surface noises. Silver, promotional-only ink stamp to one side of label. The soft card picture sleeve is closer to M- condition overall with a little ring creasing and minimal corner or edge wear. Rare OST 45!!!  micalizzi sp series
