Description

Here we have a Rockin' Rarity on the Mercury label, which released some VERY early Rock 'n' Roll and Rockabilly in the UK back in the days of Black And White Television and Two Way Family Favourites. It's "The Voxpoppers" (terrible name, chaps..) who were a Freddie Bell And The Bellboys-type group, capable of performing straight pop, doo-wop harmony, and early Rock 'n' Roll.  The selections on this EP Mercury MEP 9533 are "Wishing For Your Love" "The Last Drag" "Stroll Roll" and "Guitar Stroll". The disc is clean and has a few light-ish marks which don't sound too much. I'd rate it as a reasonable VG+ and although it's not perfect, it's perfectly collectable. The sleeve is another matter. It's slightly tatty, with shelf-worn edges, and a small tear on the back (see photograph). HOWEVER (and here's where it gets interesting) it isn't the usual sleeve shown in various on-line sites. It's the rarer (earlier?) one without a photo of the group. Instead it shows a bizarre piece of "modern art", credited to G. Wilkins!  Well! Gee Whillikins! Let's call the sleeve a VG. This is the only one I've ever seen, and it turned up in a box of Blue Beat singles, that I paid a spectacular price for. Bid now before the Asteroid hits...

I am not a dealer.

I am just a very old bloke thinning out his lifetime collection of STUFF before the floor collapses (or I do).

I'm selling most of this stuff for much less

than I paid for it.

What a great business plan (I don't think)!

I am certainly NOT INTERESTED IN PROFIT..

..and indeed, seldom make any!

What little profit I do make goes to help

a very splendid Wildlife Rescue Charity.

The item in the photograph is the item you will get.

I have described everything to the best of my ability, and it looks in excellent condition to me.

Please check the photographs to decide for yourself.

NO OVERSEAS bidders please.

And NO OVERSEAS bidders using UK addresses please.

I am a simple sort, and I want my buyers to be happy. If there is any kind of problem, I like to sort it out personally. I can’t do this if you’re thousands of miles away!
