COMMENT : Original first pressing of this essential LP, released in 1975 on the mythical Black Jazz label. An outstanding soul-jazz fusion session with great Fender Rhodes electric piano solos & breaks. All the tunes are written and arranged by keyboard player, Roland Haynes. This is his debut album, and as far as I know, 2nd Wave was the only release as a leader from this talented keyboardist. Featuring Henry Franklin on bass, Carl Burnett on drums, and Kirk Lightsey on keyboard. This album is highly sought after for all the right reasons. The record came out towards the end of Black Jazz’s run of records, and it's one of the toughest titles to track down on the label, by far.

This is a beautiful copy, opened by myself and barely played. Amazing sound production (Compatible 4 Channel Stereo Quadrophonic). The cover is in excellent condition, with only a drill hole and slight rubbing wear on seams, otherwise very clean and near perfect (as seen on the pictures). Tough to get an as nice copy as the one on offer here. Rare lp!

EX = Record in superb condition, very rarely played, may present slight visible marks but no audible ones. Sleeve may present slight signs of natural aging.

VG+ = Record is really nice, may present a few visible marks which are slightly audible. Sleeve may present a few flaws like light openings, ringwear...

VG = Record has been played often, presents some visible and audible marks. Sleeve shows noticeable defects like heavy split seam, tears...

VG- = Record doesn't look nice because of general wear, it is in playable condition, but some/all tracks are noisy or click. Sleeve has noticeable general wear.
