Description
On offer a nice copy of the Stones' 1st LP, an original UK Decca pressing that plays the standard 4.06 'Tell Me'. The sleeve features 'Mona' rather than 'I Need You Baby' and the 'Bozier' miscredit on 'Can I Get A Witness' on both sleeve and record (never noticed that until today, thanks XXX - brilliant !!!!!).
The sleeve is a nice EX-, square unbumped corners though slight evidence of superficial wear on the bottom r/h corner. A few horizontal spine creases but overall a glossy front sleeve with very minimal creasing. As you can hopefully tell from the pic the back cover has a patch of square sellotape residue and some yellowing / browning, but no writing or tears.
The record has seen very light use for sure, a lovely EX indeed (if not better) and I've played both sides twice, really great audio betraying a disc that has obviously been played little and on good equipment, the only real issue is one loud pop a second or so before 'Route 66' kicks in due to a tiny scratch. Clean labels, barely a spindle mark in sight, no writing or abrasions. A clean copy thats a pleasure to listen to.
Correct original inner sleeve, though it has a 4" split down one side.
Record of course packed outside of sleeve when despatched, and sleeve will have at least 2cm extra border all round of thick card to prevent corner bumping in the good ol' post.
