The Rolling Stones : Beggars Banquet
This 1K/1K stereo pressing is in superb condition and I have never seen or heard better. With the boxed blue Decca label the vinyl is visually stunning and plays with superlative audio. The gatefold also remains in wonderful condition also.

Visual grading
This vinyl is 100% stunning visually and audibly! It is so perfectly clean and has only been only been played once, perhaps twice in its lifetime. It has a jet black mirror surface, the glossy sheen is just stunning and it looks as new. I cannot detect any hairlines and there are certainly no scratches. There is only one tiny spindle line on each side and the run out grooves are perfectly clean. This is a real stunner I cannot stress just how good it looks. It is no exaggeration to say it looks as if was pressed only yesterday. A fantastic 1K/1K stereo press that cannot be beaten!
Play grading
S1 plays with a sublime quality that is second to none. 'Sympathy For The Devil' has no interference at all. The audio playback was of the highest standard possible throughout. No distortion and no 'background' on the quiet intro and fade out. An absolutely stunning start to this classic album. 'No Expectations' also plays with breathtaking quality. I prefer not to grade as Mint as the LP isn't sealed but in all honesty the clarity and depth of sound is of a vinyl pressed only yesterday! There is next to no static in the dead wax between every track paying testament to the high quality of the vinyl. The remaining three tracks play to the same immaculate standard with perhaps a minor amount of distortion on the final two tracks. This side plays so cleanly without any static or crackle and definitely no clicks or pops. Unbelievable audio quality and even on the 'Jig-Saw Puzzle' fade out there is barely any static.
'Street Fighting Man' has superb depth and the bass plays so strong in the mix. A fantastic start to S2 with no interference again. 'Prodigal Son' is another stunning example of the amazing clarity on this record. Mint audio once more with no 'background' whatsoever. 'Stray Cat Blues' continues this fine quality but with some distortion on the top end which isn't surprising with this track. It isn't intrusive and still plays superbly well with no other issue. Show me a vinyl where this track doesn't have some distortion?! 'Factory Girl' is quite simply the best version I have ever heard on a stereo pressing and once again has no 'background'. 'Salt Of The Earth' finishes the LP in commanding style with a little ubiquitous distortion but aside from that it is a stunning version.
In summary this stunning album is a final upgrade archive pressing of that I have no doubt. There is not one single click or pop throughout and I played every second. Yes a little distortion here and there but that is to be expected on a vinyl of this age as any 'Stones' collector knows and it is not intrusive in any shape or form. As stated this 1K/1K pressing has maybe only been played the once before and what with a beautiful gatefold this would be a great addition to any collection.
Gatefold cover
The laminated 'Robert Stace' gatefold is the cleanest I have ever seen and hopefully the photos do it justice. The edges have no shelf wear and the spine has also been very well preserved with just one small scuff but is still 100% legible. There is only a little creasing on a couple of the corners and the laminate itself is in superb condition with no splits or lifting and only one very small crease on the back. The gatefold is just so clean inside and out and has lost none of its original 'white' colour. There are a couple of tiny marks on the gold edging on the back cover and a small amount of handling wear on the opening edge but this is one of the best examples of this iconic gatefold I have seen in a long time. As anyone knows they are notoriously difficult to keep clean!
Inner sleeve
The original Decca poly-lined sleeve has no splits and only a little creasing. A lovely example.
The labels
These labels are absolutely perfect, I have never seen cleaner. With just one tiny wispy spindle line they look as new and the run out grooves are also spotlessly clean.
