ON OFFER:
The Roling Stones. Beggars Banquet. 1968. Decca LK 4955. Unboxed red Decca labels. MONO. VINYL: NM- (play-tested), but will rate Excellent due to some writing (someone’s initials) on labels. Spindles in terrific cond, too. COVER: Excellent – (tiny writing of someone’s initials on inside, spine showing wear, no rips, seam splits, though). Even has sticker from the original UK store which sold it on the back (“Harlequin”). Includes original paper sleeve. Vinyl comes in anti-static audiophile sleeve.
OTHER: If you have never heard an original UK mono pressing, you are in for a treat. This copy plays with a wonderful full sound, lots of flow, great dynamics and near 3D palpability. If you have heard UK monos, this is as clean a copy as you are likely to find. In either case, it simply must be in your collection.

A rash of unexpected expenses, alas. This LP is from my personal collection. I am not a retailer, but rather a fanatical connoisseur of all things vinyl!

A dyed-in-the-wool audiophile/vinylphile. I read Michael Fremer religiously. Hello, Phonogrammers! My front end is a VPI Scout, van den Hul Frog cart, VPI tonearm cable running into a brand new Sutherland PhD phono stage—a very revealing but nontheless musical setup. Meaning you can trust my judgements of an LP’s condition and MUSICALITY. On that note, as important as cosmetic condition is, how an LP actually actually PLAYS remains (for me) the single most important thing. How enjoyable and ENGAGING is it to listen to? We’ve all had the experience of buying an album which LOOKED perfect, but nonetheless played like crap. I do not sell those kinds of LPs.
All my LPs have been carefully cleaned with Disc Doctor materials, stored in anti-static sleeves, and lightly brushed after each play. In case you haven’t got the point, you are buying from a record collector as picky and nutty as yourself.
