UK STEREO FIRST PRESSING VINYL ALBUM ON WIDEBAND LABEL WITH UNBOXED LOGO, IN FRONT LAMINATED GATEFOLD SLEEVE WITH 'GARROD AND LOFTHOUSE INTERNATIONAL LIMITED PATENTS PENDING' ON REAR [THE VERY FIRST SLEEVE PRINTED BEFORE THE PATENT HAD BEEN GRANTED] AND A DECCA POLY-LINED INNER SLEEVE, ALTHOUGH THIS MIGHT NOT BE THE ACTUAL ORIGINAL INNER SLEEVE.

There are multiple label variations for the first stereo pressing, it had a massive pressing run before release and was a big seller upon release.  The 'patents pending' sleeve indicates that this copy was pressed prior to release as part of the initial stock that went into record stores.  The disc is cut from the very first mothers for each matrix, and has low numbered stampers.  The pressing run was so large that more than one set of matrix laquers were in use before it was even sold in stores.  Side 1 has stamper No. 22, and Side 2 has stamper No. 3.

SLEEVE: VERY GOOD, SOME SHELF, CORNER, EDGE AND RING WEAR.  LAMINATED YELLOWING (COMMON FOR THIS SLEEVE) AND SMALL AREA RIGHT FRONT WHERE THE WHITE/LAMINATE HAS COME OFF [SEE PHOTO].

DISC[S]: VISUALLY VERY GOOD+ THAT PLAYS MOSTLY EXCELLENT MINUS. NO SCRATCHES, SOME LIGHT HAIRLINES AND PLAY SCUFFS. CLEAN LABELS. THE DISC PLAYS WITHOUT SKIPS OR JUMPS, HAS GREAT AUDIO NO DETRIMENTAL SURFACE NOISES OTHER THAN THE ODD STATIC TICK AND POP.  NO ISSUE BEFORE, OR AFTER, SOUNDS AS DYNAMIC, RAW AND EXCITING AS THE FIRST UK PRESSINGS FOR THIS TITLE.
