The Rolling Stones : Let It Bleed 1W/4W
This stereo album on the boxed Decca label plays to a fantastic standard on both sides and is a FINAL UPGRADE pressing for certain. There are no clicks or pops and the clarity and definition of the audio is exceptional.
The cover is quite possibly the cleanest I have ever seen and has no real wear at all and the original poster is also very impressive with only minimal handling wear. The original inner is also in superb condition.

Visual grading
This is about as good as it gets! This has hardly been played in my opinion as there is barely any spindle wear plus visually it is absolutely stunning! It has a beautiful jet-black glossy sheen and has only a small number of very faint hairlines and you have to look hard to find them! There are no marks or scratches and the run out grooves and labels are also in perfect condition. It is rare to find one as good as this.
Play grading
'Gimme Shelter' plays with stunning clarity from the very start and continues in the same way. As you would expect on a barely played vinyl you can hear each note with perfect precision and there is not one single click or pop. There is just one very faint tick in the middle section but that hardly classifies as interference! It plays with such depth and the bass is so strong also. A superb Mint- start to the side.
'Love In Vain' is very impressive for a relatively quiet track and has only a minimal amount of very light intermittent static and a couple of faint ticks in the mid section. There is no real intrusion on the audio and the clarity can hardly be faulted. Near Mint is a fair assessment.
The intro on 'Country Honk' could not play any better, there is not even a dust tick! It carries on in the same precise way and easily grades as Mint- although the minus is only there because the album isn't sealed! What a version.
The bass intro on 'Live With Me' again plays with sublime clarity and continues to play loud and true with no distortion at all. This is a dynamic powerhouse of a track and once more there is just no interference to speak of. The sax section is as clear as the day when first released in '69 and to the end it plays 'as new'. This is Mint- you won't be surprised to hear plus it has an immaculate fade out also - this gives you an idea of the incredible clarity on offer here.
The 'Let It Bleed' intro is nigh on perfect with only a couple of dust ticks and then plays with great power and depth. There are no clicks and an almost imperceptible amount of distortion i.e. hardly any! This is rare for any final track especially this one and again provides another example of a vinyl hardly played. I will grade this as Near Mint just to be cautious.
--------------------------------------------------------------
'Midnight Rambler' begins superbly with next to no static on the intro and continues to play with exceptional quality. It really is a stunning Mint- version - the instrumental section has incredible depth and the very quiet section that follows has no obvious 'background' whatsoever. The 'high octane' ending is without fault and this is without question one of the strongest versions of this classic that I have heard.
'You Got The Silver' has only a small number of dust ticks on the intro - something you will find on new vinyl let alone one approaching 50! From start to finish it plays so 'cleanly' with no interference. A hint of mega light static in the mid section but I only mention this to be complete in my grading. It is so quiet and is still worthy of a Mint- grading.
'Monkey Man' plays with great distinction throughout and with, you guessed it, no interference! The instrumental section is awesome and there is no distortion at all. Mint- again.
The classic 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' plays so clearly from the opening groove with only a small number of mega light dust ticks on the choral intro. This is as close to a perfect intro that you will and as the acoustic guitar begins the audio could not be any better and this applies to the first vocal also. As it progresses there is no decrease in quality and the clarity and depth of the audio is what stands out here. There are no clicks or pops and no static or crackle either. Even on stereo records you will often get some inner groove distortion but it is kept to an absolute minimum here and the playback is so strong throughout. You can easily turn it up loud without having to turn it down immediately! A stunning version that deserves a Mint- grading. The crescendo ending is just phenomenal, wow!
In summary this very early pressing on the boxed stereo label is a FINAL UPGRADE version I am confident in saying. The clarity and definition of the audio on both sides is sublime and for a record of this age to have no clicks, pops or crackle and no intrusive static is a rarity indeed. The stunning look of the vinyl gives you a certain idea of how it well play and it does not disappoint! As stated the cover is in superb condition also and the original poster is also very impressive with only minimal wear. A stunning 'package'.
The Cover
The laminated 'Clout & Baker' cover is in fantastic condition with no obvious shelf wear. The edges and spine are perfect and there is no corner wear either, how rare is that! The opening edge is also in pristine condition with no handling wear. The front cover is so clean and has only 3/4 of the usual laminate creases next to the spine and the only mark is one tiny blue line in the top right corner. The back cover is also in beautiful condition with no marking at all and being a later stereo pressing it has no indicator hole. This cover has been so well preserved down the years and has hardly been handled. It would be very difficult to find better.
The Poster
The original poster, made with thin paper, is in excellent condition with only a little creasing. There are no splits or tears and no obvious marking. All that can be seen are a small number of tiny spots in the bottom left panel.
Inner Sleeve
The poly-lined Decca inner is practically 'as new' with no marking and hardly any creasing. There are no side splits or tears.
The Labels
The boxed Decca labels are in superb shape with no marking or writing and barely any spindle wear.
