The Rolling Stones : Let It Bleed 1W / 5W Boxed Stereo Press + Poster

This later boxed stereo pressing from 1978 plays to an incredible standard with no interference.  As always I have played every track in full and the clarity, depth and power of the audio is stunning.  It has hardly been played with only a couple of minor spindle traces on S2, the vinyl is in beautiful condition!  A FINAL UPGRADE in every sense.  There is only a handful of minor statics at the start of 'Love In Vain'.  The classic 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' is easily one of the finest versions I have heard, especially on a stereo pressing.

The cover is a work of art also!  It has no real wear and has been preserved so well and this version is near 50 years old!  The original glossy poster looks untouched and the original Decca inner sleeve (dated 5-78) is also in superb shape.

Visual description

The vinyl is visually stunning and still has an immaculate glossy sheen with no marks or scratches.  I have looked very carefully under a bright light and I cannot even see any faint hairlines and has clearly hardly been played.  S2 has only a couple of small faint spindle traces and on S1 there is nothing.  There is no groove or surface, as good as new basically!

Play grading

The run in on S1 is so silent and then the intro on 'Gimme Shelter' plays with sublime clarity and depth.  Jagger's opening vocal section is just as strong and clear and it continues to play with phenomenal audio.  There is no intrusion and Mary Clayton's vocal here is stunning, so high in the mix and again so clear and concise.  This version cannot be faulted and it grades as Mint

The intro on 'Love In Vain' has a small number of minor statics and the first vocal has only a couple.  The audio is still very clean and there is no persistent static.  From then on it plays beautifully with no interference.  Cooder's mandolin plays with impeccable clarity and the final vocal / instrumental is equal to that.  The vast majority is Mint but overall Near Mint is fair.

'Country Honk' plays with stunning quality through every vocal and instrumental passage.  Again the separation is so impressive, every note so clear and precise, and there is nothing to detract from the audio not even on the car intro!  Mint

The bass intro on 'Live With Me' has not so much as a dust tick and as Watts' comes in there is still no background.  Jagger's opening vocal is on the same level and it continues in the same way with that raw power synonymous with the Stones.  The mid instrumental is exceptional and the final vocal section completed by Watts' powerful drumming could not play any better.  Another Mint track.

The entire intro on 'Let It Bleed' plays to perfection and Jagger's opening vocal section is on the same level.  From then on it plays with great quality and there is only the bare minimum of inner groove distortion.  No ticks, clicks, pops or static and Near Mint is an honest appraisal of the audio.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The intro on 'Midnight Rambler' is flawless and the opening vocal has no background either.  The first instrumental passage plays with incredible depth and the next vocal again has zero intrusion.  The longer mid instrumental is just stunning!  The clarity and depth of the audio is sensational and during the very quiet section there is not even a single dust tick let alone anything worse!  Superb audio!  As Jagger comes back in there are only a couple of barely audible statics and as the volume increases the playback is strong and clear of any intrusion.  It plays with tremendous power and definition through to the end and I am 100% confident in grading this classic as Mint such is the quality.

'You Got The Silver' has a couple of light statics on the intro and Richards' first vocal is perfect.  As Watts' comes in there is no drop in quality and it continues to play to the highest standard possible.  One minor static sound just before the volume increases near the end and this powerful vocal section plays perfectly.  Mint-

The intro on 'Monkey Man' has just one very quiet static and Jagger's opening section vocal then plays with stunning precision.   The mid instrumental is 'as new' and the next vocal again has zero intrusion.  The closing section including the fade out is flawless - quite a powerful and yet there is no distortion whatsoever.  Mint

The London Bach Choir intro on 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' plays with wonderful clarity and the acoustic section has just one minor tick as the start.  Jagger's first vocal has no background and from then on it plays with genuine quality - so far there is no inner groove distortion and the clarity of sound is indeed 10/10 where every note is so clean and precise.  The next brief instrumental section leads into the next Choir vocal and both play perfectly.  Jagger's next verse / chorus is just as strong and the closing section is outstanding!  The Choir builds with incredible power and definition and whilst the mono version may be the most collectable one the sonic quality here is still STUNNING!  The fade out has no interference either and this has to grade as Mint- it really is a superb finish to a near perfect album!

The Cover, Poster & Inner Sleeve

The cover is in fantastic condition with barely any wear.  It is so clean and you would not be disappointed if you had just bough it brand new!  A tiny corner crease top left / bottom right that's about it!  The edges and spine have no wear and the corners and opening edge are stunning also.  The front cover has no laminate lift / damage and the non-laminated back cover is the cleanest I have seen.  There is just one tiny 'crinkle' next to the opening edge but that scarcely deserves a mention.  A stunning example in every way.

The poster is 'as new' with no marking, tears or creasing.  The original poly-lined Decca inner has no side splits or marking and only a little creasing here and there.

Postage & Packaging

I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping.  This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage.  The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered.  Any over-payment will always be refunded.

The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD).  An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known.  Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing.  Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.  Many thanks.

All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection.  They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection.  I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.

The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each.  There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up!  Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
