Description

ROLLING STONES STICKY FINGERS #COC39105 EARLY PRESSING 12" VINYL RECORD!!!
This is one of the most historic vinyl record releases EVER! Universally known for the functional zipper on the cover designed by Andy Warhol, the first LP to be released on the Stones' own label, Rolling Stones Records (distributed by Atlantic Records), the first Stones album to feature the iconic "Lips & Tongue" logo, and the first album to feature guitarist Mick Taylor!
I bought this record at a record fair in the early eighties. I bought it for its historical value and never played it. It's just been sitting in my collection for decades. Now it's time to pass it along to someone who will appreciate it as much as I do.
Although this is not a first pressing, it is an early pressing; the album label & inner sleeve credits list Keith "Richard" (without an "S"), which was later corrected.
****  I am NOT a professional record grader! I no longer have a turntable, so I can NOT honestly state how a record sounds.                             I am grading based on common sense and the record's visual appearance!! ****
I would grade the record sleeve as being "Excellent". The original gloss finish on it is very evident. It does have imperfections (which I took pictures of so that you can see them for yourself). But when you consider that MOST copies of this LP suffered the same damages during shipping due to the metal zipper on every copy, these imperfections are pretty much standard.
The inner sleeve is in Near Mint condition. It's flawless.
The record itself I would say is Near Mint; I've seen copies of this record that have big dips in the vinyl caused by zippers during shipping. This record has no such damage. Admittedly, it could use a cleaning, but since I don't have the equipment to do it properly, I won't try to clean it myself and risk damaging it for the sake of a sale on eBay.
As someone who's collected vinyl records since the early eighties, I know that any other collector would be proud to add this one to their collection. This is truly a beautiful copy of an iconic album!!
