Description

Up for grabs is the Rolling Stones "Their Satanic Majesties Request" LP on 1967 US issue London Records # NP-2 MONO.

CONDITION

Labels: "Front side" - VG/spindle marks

"Back side" - G/penciled name/spindle marks

Album Visual Qualitative: VG/VG

- The vinyl still retains its shiny and glossy surface. Light will reveal several scuffs, blemishes, and surface scratches. This album has been played and shows it.

Audio Quality: VG

- Audio is warm, rich, and enjoyable. It plays with a some background noise in quieter parts.

Inner Sleeve: VG+

- original "red cloud" LP inner sleeve

Cover: VG

- For the age of this gatefold gem, the spine is straight, and lays flat and sturdy. Overall, the jacket does rate this visual grade.

- The jacket has some storage and ring wear (slight front/some back), a light crease on front and heavier one on back, visible corner wear, scratches to the lenticular picture, a 1.5" tear in the upper part of the picture and the back cover has a 3 to 4 inch seam split on the top.

I will not honor bid retractions due to a person stating that the item isn't "what they thought", when they have not asked any questions. All items are carefully visually graded to give you the bidder the most information and the best details related to the item.

LPs and 45 rpm records will be graded based upon the 2004 Official Record Price Guide, as well as, Goldmine and eBay record grading standards.

All play grades of vinyl records are stated and based only upon my view on the grade. I do play the record on a Pioneer direct-drive turntable, using a Stanton needle.

All visual grades are based upon the following standards:

SS Still Sealed - in factory-fresh condition
NM Near Mint - a near perfect, probably unplayed, but opened record

VG+ Very Good Plus - close to 'like new' with only superficial signs of use that don't affect play. Only well cared for records will grade out to VG+. Will satisfy all but the most demanding collector.

VG Very Good - a used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice.
VG- Very Good Minus - significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise.
G+ Good Plus. In the record world, 'Good' is not good! From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about beat-up records.
