THE ROLLING STONES - THEIR SATANIC MAJESTIES REQUEST

On unboxed, grooved Decca label TXL 103 from 1967 is this original issue in excellent condition overall.

Matrix (stamped in run-offs):  Side 1. ARL 8126-1P   Side 2. ARL 8127-P1

The track listing is shown in photo 6.   Gradings are detailed at the end of this text.

THE GATEFOLD COVER....designed by Robert Stace is in EXCELLENT condition. The exterior laminate is fine with no lifting or creases. The interior has a slightly glossy finish and is in near-perfect condition. All-round the printed colours are strong and vibrant. See photo 7 for a colour comparison of this cover (top) to another copy I own (bottom). The edges, joints & seams are sound and strong. A couple of corners show very mild rubbing from storage and usage.  The plastic 3-D hologram is firmly fixed to the front and has a couple of cosmetic/ superficial scratches on the surface. The spine is excellent.

THE RED & WHITE INNER SLEEVE... is in EXCELLENT condition. No edge splits, no repairs or celotape, no unwanted writing.

THE VINYL..... is in EXCELLENT condition.  Playing surfaces are very clean and bright.  Some hairlines and tiny surface marks in a few places but there are no highly visible scratches.  Both unboxed and grooved Decca labels have spindle traces but are not damaged.  The album was fully play checked before auction and played extremely well withour major interference or loud clicks.  Just a few one-off minor noises only on the entire album, nothing too intrusive.  This LP has been well cared for during its lifetime.

Remember it is a 48 year old used album so is not mint but this is a great copy of the original .  Bid with confidence in the above description.  Any questions should be sent via eBay 'Ask A Question' facility at the foot of the advertisement.

Record Gradings

MINT = VINYL should be unplayed, undamaged, possibly still sealed in shrinkwrap. Should play with no faults. The cover and inner sleeve should be as new.   PAPER INSERTS i.e.  booklet, lyric sheet or poster should be perfect.

EXCELLENT = VINYL has been played but very well cared for, may have some hairlines or feint paper grazes on playing surfaces but none significantly audible although perhaps the occasional micro-noise similar to static may be present. COVER may have extremely light general wear or light corner fold but no rips/splits or repairs. INSERTS, BOOKLETS etc should be clean and undamaged.

VERY GOOD = VINYL has been played many times but plays well without major deterioration in sound quality. Playing surfaces may have some marks and  light superficial scratches which will be lightly audible . COVER may have general signs of usage and storage e.g. light edge or corner wear , but without significant damage . INSERTS,BOOKLETS etc may have light staining and/or the occasional small tear but nothing major. All printed text shoud be legible.

GOOD = VINYL will be heavily played with noticeable surface marks and/or scratches which will be audible, possibly throughout. No skips or jumps despite the prescence of crackles, clicks and pops. COVER AND INSERTS may have any of the following ; visible creases, edge scuffs, stains, annotations, splits, repairs and discolouration. The cover should be complete with no pieces missing.
