WHEN RONNIE Lane left the Faces, few thought that he would abandon his drunken hard rockin' credentials and opt for a laid back rural country rock vibe. Thankfully, his stylistic volt face didn't result in half baked hokum but actually produced some fine authentic music mixing country, folk and rock in one glorious trick bag strengthened by good songs and super arrangements.

This album, his third under the solo handle, is arguably his finest work. His backing band, Slim Chance, consisted of some great players. Truly one of the best albums that I'm listing - highly recommended and not a weak song in sight. I love the album cover - the band and his wife pictured in front of the Ronnie Lane Mobile.

This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Pressing: Island, UK, 1976

Vinyl: Beautiful clean and shiny condition - maybe one play only. One spindle mark visible on side one label but no other signs of use. Grades as near shop fresh MINT-!

Cover: Again, virtually no signs of use. Issued in a fully laminated cover - retains full gloss. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Beautiful and impossible to find like this 42 years after release. Grades as MINT-!
