Description

Up for auction is a rare, original copy of the Roxy Music album "For Your Pleasure" originally released in the U.S. on Reprise Records (BS 2696) in 1973.

-Guaranteed original pressing
-1A/1A first pressing stamps in deadwax
-Rare white label promo labels
-Original gatefold paste-down cover
-Original 1972 date Warner Brothers/Reprise inner sleeve
-No UPC/bar code on cover

Note:
There were two different "promo" copies of this album issued.  This is the original one, released on Reprise.  The second version was released on ATCO upon the release of the album "Siren".  Only the Reprise promos were issued with white labels--and were true first pressings.

Condition:
Cover is very nice, no ring wear, no seam splits.  Just a hint of rub here and there, nothing that stands out.  One corner is slightly bumped.  Interior is clean.  Beautifully preserved original.
Grade: Excellent (EX)

Vinyl is very nice, still has its original shine.  No apparent scratches or scuffs, just some very faint, superficial "shadow" lines from taking vinyl out of paper inner sleeve a couple times--and a few very tiny faint marks on the run-in edge.  Labels are clean, unmarked.  Looks like it's been played a couple times, but handled very carefully. 

I've spot tested this record, and the sound quality overall is very nice.  Does have some light pressing noise on the lead-in grooves, but once the music kicks in, you really can't notice it.  Not audiophile clean, but none of these vintage pressings were--and this one is still very nice.
