Don't miss this opportunity to own one of the finest and rarest 1972 CLASSIC ROCK Albums of all time.

Roxy Music is the debut studio album by art rock band Roxy Music. It was released on 16 June 1972. It was generally well received by contemporary critics and made it to No. 10 in the UK Albums Chart.

The electronic band Ladytron took their name after the song with the same title from this album.

The opening track, "Re-Make/Re-Model", has been labelled a post-modernist pastiche, featuring solos by each member of the band echoing various touchstones of Western music, including The Beatles' "Day Tripper", Duane Eddy's version of "Peter Gunn", and Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries"; the esoteric "CPL 593H" was supposedly the license number of a car spotted by Bryan Ferry that was driven by a beautiful woman. Brian Eno produced some self-styled "lunacy" when Ferry asked him for a sound "like the moon" for the track "Ladytron". "If There Is Something" was covered by David Bowie's Tin Machine, and was later featured quite extensively, almost as a central figure, in the British film Flashbacks of a Fool.

All records are professionally cleaned using an MOTH cleaning system prior to despatch.

I package my records in the strongest purpose made mailers for maximum safety.

All records are removed from their picture sleeves where appropriate and posted in a separate plain white inner to avoid damage during transit.

The following is the scale I use to grade my records , I try my best to get it right so please buy with confidence.

MINT:

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks

or deterioration in sound quality.

The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition.

Records advertised as sealed or un-played should be mint.

EXCELLENT:

The record shows some signs of having been played,

but there is very little lessening in sound quality.

The vinyl may have some hairline surface scuffs which will be only slightly visible.

The cover and packaging might have minor wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD:

The record has obviously been played many times,

but displays no major deterioration in sound quality,

despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.

Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items,

is acceptable.

GOOD:

The record has been played so much

that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated.

perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.

The cover suffers from folding, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

UK Orders - Please add 1.25 UKP for each additional LP purchased (doubles count as 2)

International Orders - Please add 2.5 UKP for each additional LP purchased (doubles count as 2). I prefer to send Internationsal orders 'international signed for' to ensure that all orders arrive at their destination safely.

This calculation does not apply to orders over 2kg in weight (5 lp's is usually just under 2kg). Orders over 2kg in weight may have to be split into 2 or more packages to ensure shipping is as cost effective as possible.

For multiple purchases , PLEASE WAIT for me to send you a combined postage invoice at the end of the auction day BEFORE making payment otherwise you will end up paying me more postage than is required as postage discounts have to be manually applied.
