RUSH A FAREWELL TO KINGS
Issue : UK ORIGINAL Label : MERCURY Catalogue No : 9100 042 Matrix : 9100042 1Y/2 - 2Y/2
This UK Original press is on the plain blue and silver Mercury label. It is complete with the early 9100042 1Y/2 - 2Y/2 matrix, the original printed inner sleeve and matt gatefold Howards Printers sleeve. Released in 1977, the album features A Farewell to Kings, Xanadu, Closer to the Heart, Cinderella Man, Madrigal and Cygnus X-1.
The vinyl is in Near Mint condition. There is a sensational jet black gloss, every track gleams like new. There are no significant signs of play at all. The label is also superb, the blue is exceptionally bold and the silver text is immaculate. There is no spindle wear, just a couple of the faintest spider marks. It is in fabulous condition. It is complete with the original printed inner sleeve in Excellent condition.
The sound quality is Excellent. The vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and the sound is exceptionally rich and vibrant. There is superb separation and clarity, just as it was intended over 30 years ago!
The matt sleeve is in Excellent condition. This sleeve is delicate and shows wear very easily but we are pleased to say it is in superb condition. It is extremely clean and bright. The image is unworn and the text is sharp. There is just the slightest ring and corner wear. The colours are vivid, the text is solid and the image is perfect. The whole of this sleeve is very solid and the spine is very firm with clear text.
