1976 RADIO PROMO ONLY LP
MERCURY RECORDS # MK-32
One of the rarest RUSH items. This was sent out to radio stations in 1976 as a DJ Promo Only LP to promote Rush to American radio stations that were unfamiliar with the band. This record was never available to the public. At the time Rush was not getting much radio play and this LP was made to encourage Disc Jockeys to play Rush music by giving them a package of radio friendly cuts. Interesting back cover notes include a Circus Magazine quote where "A Farewell To Kings" is referred to as "Closer To The Heart" the group's sixth LP, and a Variety article referencing the group's strong album sales. One of the rarest Rush items period.
