Description
For sale is a vinyl record titled Rachmaninoff Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, Op. 18 & Rhapsody on a Theme of Pagini, Op. 43, featuring Arthir Rubinstein and Fritz Reiner conducting the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, originally released in 1984 by RCA Red Seal Records, as part of the .5 Series of their Remastered Legendary Recordings.This record was remastered at half-speed, then pressed on imported Teldec vinyl at Europadisk Ltd, located in New York City, New York. This is indicated by a machine stamped "EDP" inside a circle in he dead wax between the labels and the last tracks. This is followed by the matrix numbers A-1/B-1, indicating that the first stamper was used to make this record. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and Audiophiles for their superior sound quality. I bought this record used and put into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This preserves the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve that may have come with the release. Their is no original inner sleeve with this listing. The cover is graded between Excellent and VG+ because of ring wear, edge rubs and corner blunts. The spine has a little color loss at the corner from these blunts. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint with shiny, prisine looking surfaces. This would be an excellent addition to anyone's collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
