Description
The record for sale is a 12 inch Maxi-Single titled Beat Bop by rappers Rammellzee and K-Rob originally released in 1983. I purchased the record brand new a couple of years ago from a local Houston record store, and the record is still sealed and in new condition including the original retail hype sticker on the front cover of the record. The outside condition of the new and sealed record contains only a minor crease and small tear in the outer plastic on the bottom corner due to normal retail store shelf wear. The version of the record that I am selling is the re-issued version that was limited to 500 copies according to reliable sources, and the record includes a gatefold insert with additional artwork designed by Jean Michel Basquiat and extensive liner notes from the original artists and producers regarding the history and musical impact of the record. The record in nearly identical to the Record Store Day version that was released in 2014 with the following specific differentiating exceptions: The matrix runout on both the A and B side begins with 88843-09632-1 on this release as opposed to 88843-09032-1 etched on the Record Store Day 2014 version with the runout number also visible at the bottom right corner of the back cover. The other difference is that the hype sticker was redesigned, but the barcode remains the same. The record is a rare and collectible item for any fan of early 80's hip-hop.
