Description
Up for auction is another highly sought after Beatles 2nd state unpeeled Butcher Cover Yesterday “Yesterday & Today”LP Capitol MONO T2553. Released in 1966, most collectors know the story behind this trunk cover pasted on slick with what I can see are vertical glue lines. # 6 West Coast pressing with a matching west coast vinyl lp (* factory stamp) in trail off area…Ringo’s black V neck sweater is visible almost 3” under “Today.” Contains Orange inner sleeve PE-12-3BL. Inner sleeve has about 1.5” tear in upper left corner as seen in photo. About 4” seam split in bottom. Cover’s condition is clearly shown in photos so zoom in and judge condition for yourself. Seams have some paper loss. Where indicated…Top seam has about 1.5” split from mouth and from spine side. Spine has splits on right, left and center about 2.25.” Bottom seam has 10” split from mouth of sleeve and about 1/2” from spine side. Small round stain on lower right and near bottom seam a tad of trunk slick paper loss 1/4”…Back has small paper lift about 1/4”+ on left bottom. Storage wear from 49 years old. Again, the photos show the details. Vinyl labels are great. Glossy disc with minor scratches but plays through if that even matters her sine the value is in the cover.
