Description

The Beatles Vinyl LP Please Please Me Mono PMC 1202 1st Black Gold Dick James. Condition is Used. Collection is preferred however if posted will be by Royal Mail 1st Class special delivery only.

Original 1963 first pressing of Please Please Me by the Beatles in fantastic condition for a 53-year old record. This is the version with the Dick James credits and matrix numbers XEX 421-1N on side 1 and XEX 422-1N on side 2 and a tax stamp ID of ZMT on side 1. Side 1 has a 2 stamp at 9 o'clock and GT stamp at 3 o'clock, side 2 has a 12 stamp at 9 o'clock and GP stamp at 3 o'clock.

Vinyl is in VG+ condition and would be NM apart from 2 small surface marks on side 1 and 2 small surface marks on side 2. One of the marks on side 1 creates a very quiet and irregular pop for a small part on the track Misery but apart from this both sides of the vinyl play perfectly with no surface or background noise, even in the quiet sections. Sleeve is the original laminated version with no splits, tears or visible fading, even on the spine. There is tape residue around all four sides, this seems to be present on every copy I've seen of this release so I'm guessing this was done at the factory as there are no signs of damage underneath the residue.

Vinyl comes in original "Use Emitex" die-cut inner sleeve which has some minimal signs of wear and discolouration and has one small tear between 2 and 3 o'clock on the inner window on one side. The liner also has the stamp of the shop it was originally purchased from.
