Rare Beatles ~ Why / Cry For A Shadow ~ W/PS ~ Vinyl is VG+ ~ Hear it!


The vinyl is in VG+ or better playing condition. There are a few sleeve marks but void of any needle marks. The labels are in great condition. Due to the much lighter passages on the "Why" side, some light background may be heard. Nothing overbearing. The picture sleeve has some serious splits on all three sides, some wrinkling as pictured, and some light ringwear, but still looks to be in very good condition without any stickers or writing. A new poly sleeve comes with the record as does a new separate white sleeve.

The actual recording was done in the summer of 1961. This record was released in 1964 on MGM. "Cry For A Shadow" is the only Beatles record ever released as written by George Harrison and John Lennon together. The record is also known as the first Beatles commercial recording. This MGM release featured Tony Sheridan as the lead singer.

MP3's were created from the record in this auction using an ION turntable and Audacity software. The MP3's are unaltered in any way. Listen to the MP3's before making decisions on bidding or just feel free to enjoy the music. I simply, in one step, make the MP3's as I play-grade the records. What you hear in the ad is exactly the way the record will sound on your turntable, with one exception- Analog playback from a record will always sound better than any MP3 possibly could. Expect a more dynamic sound from the actual record on your Hi-Fi system. Any clicks or pops or extraneous background noise heard in the MP3- if any, will be heard exactly as the same on your Hi-Fi system

All records are mailed in special new (re-usable) mailers with cardboard padding designed for keeping records protected while reaching their destinations. The packaging material cost $1.00 each. I cover this cost because I can be assured a safe delivery to you!

You may combine shipments to save money. If you would like to bid on my other auctions and want to combine them for a single shipment, I will defer sending out an invoice until those auctions close. You may always send me a reminder if you are bidding on my other auctions. Or just send me a reminder to send you an invoice when you are ready to be invoiced.
