Description
Exceedingly rare 7" lathe-cut polycarbonate single performed and self-released by New Zealand artist David Kilgour in 1997.
SIDE A: My Way SIDE B: Instrumental 1 & 2
(Note that some versions of this 7" list the first track as "My Sky")
Record details hand-written (by DK I presume) in black marker pen. Entitled "Single Three". Edition number "40 / 50".
Comes in polythene sleeve (unmarked). Purchased by seller c1997, and played only once.
David Kilgour was a founding member of the New Zealand bands The Clean and The Great Unwashed, and long associated with Flying Nun Records. He has also had a long solo recording career. This 7" single is very much a DIY endeavour in the low-fi manner. Apparently lathe-cut records improve with repeated playing, as the manufacture process leaves rough edges on the groove which clear with successive passes of the record player needle.
