LED ZEPPELIN II EARLY PLUM LABEL PRESS

MATRIX NOs. ON RUN-OUT GROOVE

THE OUTER SLEEVE - VG / VG+
The Outer sleeve has kept its shape very well over the years. There is minimal shelf wear and slight ring wear on the rear which is rare to find especially on the Led Zeppelin II due to sleeve not being laminated. No ink and the spline is in great condition as you can see from the pictures. I need to draw your attention to the inner part of the gatefold, it would appear it has stuck sometime over the years and as a result there is a small sticker mark where the gatefold has been pulled apart, this isn't greatly noticeable as you can see from the pictures. It isn't very big at all.
THE VINYL - VG++/ EX-
The vinyl shows very minimal signs of use. The labels are clean and free of ink. The vinyl is straight and true and free of any warping. There is very little spindle wear on both sides. The vinyl retains its glossy shine. The sound quality is supreme throughout as you would expect from a plum label in this condition! I would say that overall this record has seen very little time on the turntable. There is the odd hairline but nothing major enough to cause any real sound distortion.I have test played the record and the sound quality is supreme all the way through. The odd surface noise on the quieter parts but very minimal. No pops clicks or jumps. A true gem of a record! I would be pleased to receive this as an EX minus. Housed in a paper polylined inner sleeve which again is EX.
As with all my items i over a 100% refund if you are not entirely satisfied just send it back in exactly the same condition as you received it and i will process the refund for you.
Check out my feedback, i sell quite a few vinyls on ebay.

RARITY
A PLUM PRESS in this type of condition is scarce. The vinyl is so often played so much, heavily marked, scratched, with noisy, poor and distorted sound. Any EARLY UK PRESS examples with a record in this type of condition, that plays practically great, is very rare.
The cover is almost impossible to find without serious wear, even modestly worn examples are scarce and this one is one of the better examples. Finding a great cover like this, with an original piece of vinyl, fantastic!.
PLUM pressings are infinitely more rare than the later orange and green labels, but finding copies that sound great is a real challenge. Usually they sound very poor, the mastering is patchy, and of course, they were so often heavily played on old fashioned, destructive equipment, or worse, past around at parties.
