Description
Here's a hard-to-find original 1957 LP on the obscure San Francisco Jazz Records label (JR-2) Mono. The record is M-, not unplayed but has original gloss and NO scratches, NO spindle trails on labels - plays great! The cover is VG/VG+ with split upper seam and small piece of tape on one corner - some shelf wear but still very presentable. This was Mel Lewis' first album as a leader and features saxophonists Richie Kamuca, Pepper Adams, and Jerry Coker along with ex-Kentonites Ed Leddy on trumpet, Johnny Marabuto piano and Dean Reilly bass. Great "West Coast Jazz" session with arrangements by Lennie Neihaus, Bill Perkins and Pepper Adams! NO RESERVE on this very collectible jazz LP.
