Description
First off, I know nothing about this category so I will just do my best to explain what is being offered. These are 4, 12-inch metal records with a Speak-O-Phone needle attached - so I assume these are Speak-O-Phone records. The writing on the cover says "Massachusetts Jewish War Veterans Annual Convention, Governor James M. Curley, April 19, 1936, 8:30-9:30 PM, WAAB. Each record side is labeled with a number - 1 through 8. That said, I have no machine to listen to these - so I am selling these as is - I assume you can listen to them and have them transferred to a disc. In any event, this is most likely a very rare and possibly important recording. From what I read, WAAB was a Boston station in the 1930s. And because Curley is mentioned, I assume he is on the recording. And of course, these should be especially interesting to the Jewish Veterans in the 1930s The records themselves look to be in good shape - as much as I know about records. I will be loading some more antique records - also recordings from early radio, I believe. Thanks for looking. Or should I say thanks for listening!
