Description
Here's a rare 45 rpm record by The Mod 4, a girl group from Aledo, Illinois on the Fredlo label, which I believe was in Davenport, Iowa. It is from 1967. The A side is Bobby Goldsboro's "Funny Little Clown", and the B side is Wilson Pickett's "Midnight Hour." I am playing this on an audio-technia turntable, and both sides play well with no sticks or skips. "Funny Little Clown" is in good to good plus condition, typical light wear and light scratches of an unprotected 45, minimal background static. "Midnight Hour" has many scratches, to the point that it looks like they were deliberate, but I don't know why anyone would do that! I was pleasantly surprised to hear the lead singer's voice to be crisp and clear, with some fun individual touches for her audience; there is a little more static than the A side, but honestly not awful.
