Description
Vinyl records pressed in Lebanon are very rare items, produced for only a few years in the late 1960's until forced to stop by the onset of civil war in the mid 1970's. All the international artists and bands were popular in Lebanon and a few copies survived the last thirty years in very good condition, including multi-colored singles and unique samples for radio and club DJ's.
The Rebel Rousers Fontana TF 973
Side 1 : Should I ?
Side 2 : As I look.
Condition : EX-
Well , I guess you know this record very well... The Rebel Rousers' only recording without Cliff Bennett their leader and frontman. This one here has an original lebanese pic sleeve. This awesome band performed here in Beirut at La Locomotive , a very hip venue sometime in the late1960's. According to a person who was involved in the record industry here , this pic single was a freebie for those who attended the band's live performances exclusively. The venue is mentioned clearly on front cover.
The vinyl has some visible hairline marks that do not affect playing in any way. Both titles sound GREAT throughout. Front cover has some creasing near label and upper seam( see scan ). Back side is excellent and has pictures of the band members. Created at the height of Pop music's psychedelic era, it is extremely hard to find in such a great condition. A true gem.
