Description
This is Prestige Records PRLP 7064, Red Garland A Garland Of Red, a yellow, 446 W.50th St. NYC, deep groove labeled, original mono issue of Red's first classic trio session, with RVG etched in the dead wax, featuring Paul Chambers and Art Taylor. The record is in VG+(+) condition; a strong VG+, showing some marks on both sides but playing quietly, with only occasional light background crackle audible under My Romance (track 2 on side 1) and the bass solo on What Is This Thing Called Love (track 3 side 1). No skips and no distortion. Nothing to interfere with the enjoyment of music. The laminated cover is excellent and intact (actually - near mint!). The labels are excellent with light spindle marks. This would make an excellent initial "play" grade copy of this rare original issue; in fact, I could recommend this as a collector's grade copy as well. The record has been cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. Please check our other listings as we discount shipping for multiple orders. Thanks for looking.
