Description
This is the rare LP Deluxe box set of Richard Wagner's Der Ring Des Nibelungen conducted by Herbert von Karajan. The 19 vinyl discs in this collection are complete with inner and outer sleeves in separate slip boxes, which (along with the beautifully printed book) are housed in a sturdy (and heavy) box. The discs have been treated with care and played all the way through only one time back during the early 1980’s. Afterwards on very rare occasions I listened to the overtures in this collection. This box set has been stored on a shelf ever since.
To prepare for this sale, I attentively listened to random sections of the 19 records and heard no cracks or pops (though minor static-type pops may exist here and there on the many hours of this Wagner opera recording). You will enjoy this production of Wagner's operas. The gold colored box shows a little wear after nearly 40 years, but overall it’s in very good shape for its age. There are some small blemishes as shown on the detailed photos and a small tear on the bottom of the large book cover as shown in the photos, but nothing major.
