This exceptionally rare vintage 1959 self-titled debut studio vinyl record stands as a historic monument to the tragic genius of pioneer rock and roll icon Ritchie Valens. Released by Del-Fi Records under catalog number DFLP 1201, this authentic original mono pressing features the highly prized original turquoise and black "delphonic sound" labels with the distinctive circular border. The deadwax features the authentic hand-etched inner ring matrix runout information B-20560X on Side 1, verifying its rare status as an early industrial first-year pressing. The historic tracklist features his definitive signature masterpieces, including the beautiful ballad Donna, Come On Let's Go, and the explosive, legendary rock-and-roll adaptation of La Bamba. The physical cardboard jacket is well-preserved with great front gloss, showing only moderate age toning and light vintage tape residue on the upper left rear. The analog vinyl surface retains a beautiful strong gloss with only light sleeve marks and superficial hairlines, grading at a beautiful visual VG+ tier to ensure a premium analog listening experience.
