Dr. Kenny McComas is founder and pastor of the renown Calvary Baptist Church, Rittman, Ohio. He is also President of the Calvary Christian Schools at Wadsworth, Ohio. Dr. McComas came into national prominence several years ago when he preached two patriotic sermons which were entered into the Congressional Record. He has been highly acclaimed for his patriotic views by conservative congressmen, senators and governors. One of his sermons brought praise from the President of the United States. Pastor McComas has traveled extensively in Bible Conferences, Evangelis- tic and Missionary work. He has preached on four continents and seen great numbers respond to the gospel appeal. He has recorded twenty long-play albums. He has sixteen titles on cassettes and has written several books. His book on prayer and the Holy Spirit is considered by many to be a classic. He has written the biographies of Dr. B. R. Lakin and Dr. Hyman Appleman and is now preparing the manuscripts for two new releases. Dr. McComas gives most credit to Dr. B. R. Lakin for influencing and challenging his life as a young man to give his best for God. He received an Honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Midwestern Seminary at Pontiac, Michigan. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Midwestern Baptist College. The magnificent, melodious, musical message on this album is made possible through the cooperation of my good friend, Evangelist Danny D. Prior of Hixson, Tennessee. His rich, vibrant voice is a gift of God rarely equaled and perhaps not exceeded in our generation.
Dr. Kenny McComas has given, on this album, the most sane and sensible answer to hyper Calvinism I have ever heard. No man on the current scene and no man, to my knowledge, is on the future horizon who can present better qualified credentials for dealing with the subjects of sovereignty than Dr. Kenny McComas. Hyper Calvinism has long stiff led evangelism and, in some areas, has totally smothered so called intellectualism. Hyper Calvinism the hot fires of Pentecost with the ashes of prides itself for its dry eyes, cold heart and compassionless program. Dr. McComas, on this album, sits in the gate like a weeping Jeremiah saying, "Is it nothing to you all ye that pass by?" It has been my good pleasure to know Brother McComas in an intimate Christian way for several years. I have learned that he does his very best in every effort attempt- ed. He is sixteen ounces to the pound Christian. His intensive studies and exhaust- ive research makes him one of the most thorough scholars ever to deal with this or any subject.
