Description

The Seller is the Original Owner and received this LP as a promotional copy from the label at the time of its release. 
At the time of this writing, the Seller had titles by Dave Edmunds for sale on Ebay.
The album is still sealed in its original shrink wrap. The vinyl disc has never been taken from its sleeve and has never been played. It is assumed to be in Mint condition.  The Bonus EP is included.  

The gatefold cover is in excellent condition.  It has a gold promo stamp on the rear cover, and a green hype sticker on the front.  This first pressing version lists 1980 tour dates on back cover.

(Wikipedia Excerpts) Seconds of Pleasure is a 1980 album by Rockpile, a band consisting of guitarists/vocalists Dave Edmunds and Billy Bremner, bassist/vocalist Nick Lowe, and drummer Terry Williams. The band had played together on various solo albums by Edmunds and Lowe in previous years, but Seconds of Pleasure would be the first (and only) album released under the Rockpile name.  In 1980, the album reach #27 on the Billboard Top 200.  

The album's opening track, "Teacher, Teacher", became a minor hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was written by Kenny Pickett and Eddie Phillips, both of whom were former members of the 1960s British rock band The Creation. 

A limited edition promotional four-song 33 1/3 RPM 7" EP, Nick Lowe & Dave Edmunds Sing the Everly Brothers, was included in the first pressings of the LP (for sale here); the songs were later included on the album's various CD versions. 

The front cover is a painting by the designer Barney Bubbles, who used pseudonyms and rarely signed his work. This is signed "Dag".

The Seller was in the retail record business in the 1970's-1980's and acquired a collection of 2500+ albums from that era, which is now being sold on Ebay. Most are promotional and collectible LPs which have never (or seldom) been played. Many are white label promos, first pressings, and often factory sealed. The collection has been securely boxed and stored in a smoke free environment since 1983, 39 years! Please check back occasionally to see my new listings. I add approx. 25–50 new LPs per week. 

Grading methodology is as follows: 
M (MINT) - Album is brand new, sealed, and has never been played. 
NM (NEAR MINT) - Vinyl looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. LP cover may have some light rub marks. 
VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS) - Vinyl may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned corners, or a slight seam split. May have slight signs of wear also may be marred by a cut out hole, sawcut, or cut corner indicating it is a promotional copy. 
VG (VERY GOOD) - Vinyl has light wear, scratches, or scuffs. Covers may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached, etc. 
This Seller allows for combined shipping costs when multiple items are purchased in the same transaction. Each additional (single) LP will ship for $1. Seller ships domestically within the United States via United States Post Office Media Mail with tracking. This is the most economical option. Seller will insure packages valued above $30. Warping could occur if vinyl records are exposed to heat and direct sunlight, so please make adequate arrangements to safely receive your packages. Per USPS, Priority Mail packages are delivered in 1-3 days.
