Roland Alphonso - El Pussy Cat/ Lord Brynner - Tiger In Your Tank
(Island Records WI 217 UK 7" Single 1965)
This is a 1965 UK 1st pressing 7" single. Unfortunately, this is a fairly well played copy. However, it is still a very serviceable copy albeit with some crackle & a few light clicks. It does not jump. This single came from a UK Reggae/ Ska DJ who operated in the 1960's & 1970's.
The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has textured paper Island labels. These have a 4 pronged centre. The record has 1st press WI 217 A-2H and WI 217 B-1H matrix numbers. These are machine stamped in the dead wax respectively. It comes with an original period company plain white paper sleeve.

Vinyl: Unfortunately, as mentioned, this is a fairly heavily played copy. As stated, it came from a Reggae/ Ska Deejay from the 60's & 70's. They were played to death in the clubs & were not well taken care of. This was often the case back in the day. There are a few light, mild or very mild hairline surface marks. There are some mild, very mild or more moderate surface sleeve rubs, or surface rub marks, which can be seen under a strong light. There is a feint area of cloudy surface marks around the dead wax on the B-side. It is not too noticeable, and only freally notices under a strong light. Overall, this single is in Good++ condition. The Labels are in Good+ condition & show mild to more moderate spindle wear & mild rubbing wear & ringwear. The number "10" has been written twice on each label.
The company plain paper sleeve is in Very Good++ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear & fading. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this 7" single in its entirety & it is a serviceable copy. It plays Good+ to Very Good overall. There is some mild, very mild or more crackle throughout both sides. The crackle is fairly prominent - so please bear this in mind when bidding. However, it does play through without any jumps or skips. There are some light, mild or very mild clicks on a very few areas. They are not too noticeable against the crackle.
