Aftermath was the 4th Lp released by the Stones, and clearly shows the direction the band was going. The music is far more subtle than that of the first 2 albums, and introduces classic stones tracks: Mothers Little helper, Lady jane, Under My Thumb, Out Of Time.

This was also the first album of totally Jagger/Richards songs. In my opinion one of their best LP's ever.

On offer here is an absolute stunning example of this LP. I have reservedly graded it as Mint minus, but I could have very easily have been tempted to grade it MINT and I don't believe I would have had any complaints. 38 years old and quite incredible.

Lets start with the sleeve. How many early Stones LP's have you come accrosss with a truly mint sleeve?. None I would guess, and this is because they were so very thin in their design. Unlike the early Beatles Lp sleeves these Stones issues wre constructed of thin card, and didn't even have the extra protection of flipbacks. Most covers I have seen have been creased to deat, and hardly rate a Good grade. However this cover  is just about the best you will ever find available for sale. Normally the first thing to go on Early Stones sleeves is the thumb marks made by pushing your thumb into the opening to retrieve the LP.

this cover is just in incredible condition. There is not one crease on the laminated front, and I have to say i cannot believe it myself. it has been preserved in superb condition and fully merits its NM grade. The back of the cover is not laminated, and again usuakky suffers from dirt and stains, but again here we have just about the perfect sleeve. No marks, dirt etc. A fantastic example of this incredibly hard to find (in this condition) sleeve.

the labels on the Lp are the genuine original unboxed Decca Mono labels which are in near pristine condition. How an Lp of this stature has not been played more than a few times escapes me. it's almost criminal. still it is potentially your gain, as this album comes in the most special condition. Back to the labels. they are without any spindle hole wear, and the spider lines are so small that I know this has only had a couple of plays in 38 years.

The vinyl gleams like new, and plays the same way. Silent run in groove on side 1 leads into the classic "mothers little helper". supern quality of sound with no background noise or any distortion whatsoever.Silent Linking grooves between the tracks ensure that the listening experience is maintained throughout.

any Stones collector would Jump at the chance to own such a staggeringly fantastic example of Aftermath, and one that will never need upgrading
