Description
I'm an audio enthusiast occasionally selling off surplus items.
This is Beggars Banquet by the Rolling Stones on an original Decca pressing. I'd describe the sleeve as NM and the record as EX but you be the judge - here's a description including sound samples.
1. Record. There are plenty of spindle marks and there is wear to the spindle hole, indicating that the record has been played quite a lot. But the vinyl is nice and shiny and although there are one or two marks, the background noise is minimal and there are no audible scratches at all. The matrix endings are 2K on side one and 3K on side two.
In the following sound samples, you'll hear me drop the needle onto the run-in groove and play the beginning of track 1. Then I play the end of track 1 and the beginning of track 2, including the track break. That way you get the maximum chance to hear any background noise. 2. Sleeve. This is in exceptionally good condition, as is the lovely Decca inner sleeve. Both are NM with no split seems or other defects. The sleeve is the non-laminated version.
All in all, this is nothing special because the record has obviously been played a fair bit but even so, it's a very nice copy of this classic LP and the exceptional sleeve is nice to have.
To avoid any possibility of damage in transit, the LP will be packed in a tough cardboard box. The record will be taken out of its inner and outer sleeve and placed in a spare inner sleeve.
