Description

An original 1st Uk mono press of BB and highly desirable. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono gatefold cover. Original 1968 Decca inner sleeve. 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Labels imply relatively little use. Under close inspection there are a good few slight marks per side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly Excellent level of playback with slight deviation in a couple of brief spots per side. A super player and plays mostly clean with minimal sign of use...Much better preserved than the average copy that surfaces. Even those classic acoustic tracks play superb - clean. Not the cleanest ever...but CLEAN. And a mono BBQ playing like this is pretty amazing sounding. At worst expect slight presence occasionally in a couple of tracks. E.g. No Expectations - nothing problematic at all. Nothing upfront at all. This track still plays great - just not perfect. Highly recommended. If you are a Sympathy mega fan...this could be the copy for you. It rolls in clean as a whistle...lots of atmosphere...nothing to irritate or interfere. Factory Girl - flippin' amazing...this fussy track plays clean and absolutely superb. One label has an autograph.
Cover (Vg+) A really smart looking cover - many are going to be looking a bit beleaguered after 50 years use. But this one is exhibiting only light ageing and is in great condition. Clean flat surfaces with a couple of minor scuffs. Only a minor bit of edge wear in the odd spot. A one two inch wear-through bottomright panel edge [middle] - has been tape repaired internally. Only a minor cosmetic issue. The interior looks great with slight nick on right bottom edge [repaired]. The spine is 75% intact with a bit of wear. Text mostly legible- just bit of wear so the word 'the' is rendered illegible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
