Rolling Stones Beggars Banquet SKL 4955 Vinyl, LP, Stereo 1968
This is the original 1968 press on the "Unboxed Decca Record Label" in blue colour. The vinyl is housed in the first issue in a gatefold cover.
Catalog# "SKL.4955" appears on label. Catalog# "SKL 4955" appears on rear cover and spine.
Label details:- Side 1 / Design No 9 / Version 2 (SKL4955/S1/D9/V2), Side 2 / Design No 9 / Version 4 (SKL4955/S2/D9/V4) Unboxed wideband silver on blue. SKL.4955 on side 1. SKL.4955 on side 2 Upside down XZAL.8476 on side 1 and upside down XZAL 8477 on side 2. e.g. ⸸9Ɫᔭ8˙⅂∀ZX⸸ BIEM/NCB boxed with GEMA below and Mirage Music below that, on both sides. Side 2 it is G.E.M.A. Made in England by The Decca Record Co. Ltd. London UPPER PERIMETER side 1 : J/T code 6 o'clock side 1 text left side of hole; side 2 , no J/T, S mid left and side 2 text on right of hole Under side 2 matrix in deadwax = scored out Z (or X?)...different fonts on each side of label - CANNOT FIND AN EXACT MATCH FOR THIS ON DISCOGS...
Condition and details below:
Sleeve has a little ringwear but laminate looks great for its age, intact and good spine, just a little scuffed; inside gatefold is excellent = VG+ ..... Inner is poly-lined and has a little creasing, with equipment advice on one side ; no rips - VG+ .... Vinyl and labels are really clean, close to Near Mint but for some very light marks on close inspection - visually as good as it gets.... Playback is Near Mint, hardly a noise or pop to belie the age of the LP - excellent sound all round...!....

PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THAT THIS LP IS AN AGED, USED ITEM, AND WILL NOT LOOK OR PLAY LIKE NEW. I always try to give a fair overview of condition and a selection of photos, which give an indication of what you are buying/bidding on.
I always play test and give a fair appraisal of how the LP sounds on my system; this is always a subjective thing, and so may vary on others - If there are any flaws or jumps detected I will mention this and it will be reflected in the price/starting bid; NB: sometimes items may benefit from further cleaning etc.
