This EXCELLENT & early UK 1st STEREO pressing dates from initial December 1968 release.

On the unboxed blue/silver Decca label: SKL.4955


Matrices: XZAL-8476-3K & XZAL-8477-3K

Stamper codes: 1/KM & 1/CA

Vinyl weight: 149g


Housed in the earliest variation cover - an outer laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse - Patents Pending' stereo gatefold cover.

Complete with original poly-lined inner-sleeve.


CONDITION

Vinyl: EXCELLENT

Both playing surfaces of this little played copy are clean & glossy and there are no spindle trails visible around either centre hole. The only visual blemishes are 2 small/light scuffs on side 1. Close inspection beneath halogen light reveals nothing more than some harmless wispy paper marks and a sparkling rainbow shine. Audibly it is 'EX+' with all tracks playing cleanly & clearly with no trace of any groovewear distortion or crackle. A single tick on 'Parachute Woman' was the only distraction during our highly enjoyable play-check.

Cover: EXCELLENT

Strong & fully intact with a clean & glossy laminate bearing a single tiny 'thumbnail' wrinkle & light storagewear on the rear panel. The inside of the gatefold is unmarked and all seams and the fully worded spine are undamaged.
