This fine 1st UK STEREO pressing dates from initial December 1968 release on the blue & silver Decca label: SKL.4955
Both sides of the disc bear the 1st variation label for this release, without the '33 1/3' speed indicator

The 'JT' purchase tax code is stamped into both run-outs

Both are clean & unblemished with some light, well-aimed spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Immaculate deep-gloss playing surfaces where the only noticeable blemish in strong daylight is a non-feelable fingernail scuff over track 1 on side 2. Closer inspection directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp reveals some extremely faint inner-sleeve removal/storage marks but nothing which affects sound or play. Both sides of this well looked-after copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
This great sounding copy has received attention from quality equipment only and all tracks play clearly & clearly without any trace of groove/playwear distortion. My single careful playcheck at volume revealed just a hint of low level vinyl background between tracks but no clicks, pops or any other audible distraction of any kind.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A superb example of this easily blemished cover. Both front and rear panels are clean and retain a perfect, unscratched and unworn high-gloss finish with just a single 'thumbnail' and two spine wrinkle on the front panel only. There is a hint of shelfwear bruising to the lower corners & minimal wear to the rear pocket's opening edges but no tears or feathering.
The inside of the gatefold is pristine with no wear or any kind to either panel.
The spine is clean & fully worded with all text covered & complete. All seams of both pocket are smooth & unstressed.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with gentle storage wrinkles but no writing, tears or seam splits.
