Rolling Stones. Beggars Banquet. " PROMOTIONAL COPY - NOT FOR SALE " pre release .....PATENTS PENDING cover. ( 1968 Decca unboxed logo stereo very first pressing 1K / 1K matrices. UK . SKL 4955 ). Extremely scarce " patents pending " Garrod and Lofthouse laminated cover. These were issued to reviewers , radio stations , etc just prior to general release. This one belonged to a former record reviewer. Cover is nice and clean, has some corner creasing and small indentations on the rear. Slight age discolouration as per usual with original Beggars Banquet white covers. Very slight foxing at opening edge but still pretty tidy. Stong VG PLUS PLUS. Original Decca inner sleeve. Beautiful unboxed " full frequency stereophonic sound " dark blue Decca labels have slight spindle traces. 100% clean and free of rips tears or writing. VERY NEAR EX. Gorgeous heavy weight vinyl lies flat and true on the platter. Wonderful dynamic audio from the very first masters. Easily beats any subsequent pressing , analogue or digital. Thrilling sonic quality. Playing surfaces gleam still. Some very light sleeve removal marks but nothing of note whatsoever. Plays like a dream. No nasty clicks or pops. Just very light surface rumble occasionally. Sonically : EXCELLENT. Visually : VERY NEAR EXCELLENT. Gradings as per : Record Collector Grading System definitions. Dealer and Collector since 1974.
