An original 1964 1st Issue on UK Decca...Matrix 4/2. A really nice early copy with all the errors that collectors are looking for! Publishing errors [ I won't bore you with them all!...but the famous Dozier gets a mention as Bozier] But the main and noticeable error on the lable is track 4 --- Bo Diddey's track is still exhibiting as 'MONA' - which is not the real name for this track! If you look on the cover which is 1st issue original you will notice the track is also referred to as 'MONA' too. This is one of the earliest copies you can find of the debut with the error showing on VINYL & Cover. The cover also hold the 'You can Make It YOU TRY' typo too - pretty poor checking at the printers. But essentially the early copies are littered with publishing errors! Quite funny really. Original Inner too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-) Great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or  troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Plays lovely and pretty clean too. Great vibrancy and energy as onl a near master copy can. You might detect a touch of light presence in two of the fussier spots per side. Nothing upfront or distracting at all. It plays clean even into the quiet segments. You gotta love this title...
Cover (Vg+) VERY VERY nice for this title and vintage. Usually these originals are trashed. So a nice looking copy like this GETS MY ATTENTION. Lovely clean and flat front with only a couple of thumbnails and none of the dreaded laminate lift. This one is highly unusual in this regard. The rear exhibits some lowlevel tanning. BUt it looks CLEAN and any ageing is consistent and not overtly obvious.. The rear looks great and MUCH better than many original examples.. Spine is 80% with text fully legible and one stress crease. The cover retains excellent rigidity.
